Start-up

  1. Go to the touch panel near the front desk and press Start. This turns on the monitor, beamer and light.
    • _If the beamer is still not switched on, please use the remote control at the front desk to switch it on._
  2. Turn on the backstage computer and log in with user, user.
  3. Open Zoom and join the conference with audio and video. Don't change the participant name.
  4. Go to the front desk computer and turn it on. Don't use the HDMI cable.
  5. Use Windows and log in with user, user.
  6. Open Zoom and join the same conference with video but without audio. Don't change the participant name.
  7. If Zoom asks again, just close the dialog.
  8. Now, you can adjust the light settings on the touch panel near the front desk.

Using the microphones

The microphones are in the equipment room. Choose the one you are most comfortable with. You can adjust the settings on the touch panel at the front desk.

Adjusting the cameras

Camera1 is the camera for the speaker (backstage camera). Camera2 is the camera for the audience.

It is best to have a second person sitting in the front row to make the desired adjustments during the lecture.

To adjust the camera setting you need to select the camera. Press 1 for Camera1 and 2 for Camera2 on the remote.

Settings for Camera1

Press any number from 1-4 on the number pad of the remote to change the zoom of the camera. 1 is close to the speaker and 4 is from a great distance.

Settings for Camera2

Consider the number field as a grid for the audience seats. For instance choosing the 1 on the number pad will zoom on the upper left area.

Share the PowerPoint via the front computer

  1. Open the PowerPoint and change the view to presentation with a preview.
  2. Press Windows+P and choose extend. Now, the presentation will be shown on the beamer and in the conference but you will see the presentation with the preview.
  3. Click on Share Screen in Zoom and choose the second screen.

Share the PowerPoint via a laptop

  1. Open the PowerPoint and change the view to presentation with a preview.
  2. Press Windows+P and choose extend.
  3. Join the Zoom conference without video and audio.
  4. Share the presentation.

Before leaving

  1. Turn off the backstage computer.
  2. Turn off the front computer.
  3. Press System off on the touch panel at the front desk.
  4. Turn of the microphones and put them back in the charger.
