Zoom is a proprietary video conference software. It is available in both free and paid versions, each with different features.

Free vs. Paid Version

Free Version: Host meetings up to 40 minutes with up to 100 participants.

Paid Version: Host meetings up to 30 hours with up to 300 participants.

Before Requesting a Paid Zoom License
  • For a one-time or regular meeting with extended features, please contact the personal assistants responsible for your department / group to create one for you.
  • If you require meetings longer than 40 minutes or with additional attendees, apply for a paid version.

Request Procedure

A Zoom Meetings (with On-Prem) license must be assigned to your account to use Zoom On-Prem.

  1. Please first read this to determine if you truly need a Pro license.
  2. If you already have a Zoom account that is not provided by us with your institution's email, please delete the old account before applying for a new one with the same email.
  3. Write a ticket requesting a Zoom license.
  4. Wait for confirmation that a license has been assigned to your account.
  5. Log in to Zoom or use the application on your computer.
