General Startup of room system:

1. Switch on big monitor
2. Switch on workstation
   • Option a) Standard option for hybrid meetings (for usage of Logitech Screen Share): Select Windows during computer start-up
     • username: user
     • password: user
   • Option b) If access to MPI servers is required, select Debian during computer start-up (Logitech Screen Share will not work): Use personal institute login to access personal folders
3. Share the screen of a laptop on the big monitor:
   • Option a) Connect Logitech Screen Share cable to laptop (HDMI or using the USB-C adaptor) --> Logitech Screen Share window should open on workstation and should show up as a second screen of the connected laptop. - (Note: Logitech Screen Share only works when logged into Windows on workstation!)
   • Option b) Alternative if Logitech Screen Share does not work (it should actually work with all laptops, and this is only a backup option): Use spare HDMI cable (labeled “Bildschirm HDMI”) to connect laptop to front HDMI input of big monitor. If not selected automatically, choose “HDMI 1” as source of big monitor (most right button on big monitor).

Hybrid meeting:

1. Start zoom on workstation (click zoom icon on desktop) and enter meeting ID to join the virtual meeting
   1. Show presentation or document from laptop for online audience: Connect laptop with Logitech Screen Share cable and share “Logitech Screen Share” window in zoom on workstation. - [Troubleshooting:] If Logitech Screen Share does not work, join zoom meeting with laptop and share presentation through zoom on laptop.
   2. Camera and room microphones should be enabled automatically. If either camera or microphones do not work, try to select microphones and camera in the zoom settings manually.
2. Adjust the angle of the room camera with the remote control.

Further notes:

• Please do not unplug any cables.
• You do not need to join the zoom meeting with your laptop when using the Logitech Screen Share and connecting to zoom with the workstation.
